She did this because her beloved brother Apollo was Troy’s patron god. Artemis (Ancient Greek: Ἄρτεμις) was one of the most widely venerated of the Ancient Greek deities.
However, Artemis found out that the only way to kill them was for the brothers to kill themselves.
She was also usually regarded as the protector of young girls and the goddess of childbirth and midwifery. The most famous of this sculpture is called Diane de Versailles. A bear was tamed by Artemis and introduced to the people of Athens. The growth of the Aloadae never stopped, and they boasted that as soon as they could reach heaven, they would kidnap Artemis and Hera and take them as wives.
In many places in Greek mythology she appears to be an emotional teenager, and often gets in fights with her step-mother Hera.In a more modern myth, Artemis takes pity on a young hunter who is cursed by Apollo to live only by the light of the moon and gave him supernatural hunting powers in exchange for lifelong devotion to her alone. Either way unlike popular belief there was plenty of evidence that they had nothing other than a mere friendship (despite Orion wanting more but he may or may not have acted on it and tried to rape her). Zeus appeared to her disguised as Artemis, or in some stories, Apollo gained her confidence, then took advantage of her. Once the sacrifice was made, Artemis lifted the curse from Agamemnon and his Greek army. However, Hesoid’s account of the story differs a little bit. Artemis’ birthplace was said to be on Mount Cynthus at Delos.
In a different version of the story, Artemis killed Orion because he seduced one of Artemis’ servants, Opis. The myth states that Artemis murdered the seven daughters of Niobe with poisoned arrows; while Apollo killed all seven sons of Niobe. Artemis would then go on to help Leto give birth to her twin brother, Apollo. The goddess of the hunt, Artemis, had several famous worship centers across ancient Greece. She was so enraged at this violation of her privacy that she turned the hunter into a stag and drove his dogs into a frenzy, who subsequently chased down and ate him. This is said to have been the origination of the first vampire.
Both the Greeks and Spartans worshiped her as Artmis Agrotera.
Soon she was in childbirth, which was very painful. According to Hesoid, Artemis took pity on the Mycenaen king and pardoned him. Artemis ducked, causing their arrows to mistakenly hit the two brothers.
Iakhos later became an attendant of Demeter and the leader of Eleusinian Mysteries.

A brother of one of the girls killed the bear, so Artemis sent a plague in revenge. The deer, wolves, and the cypress were sacred to her. According to one particular account of Artemis story, the river god Alpheus falls madly in love with Artemis and goes ahead to capture Artemis. The gods were afraid of them, except for Artemis who captured a fine deer (or in another version of the story, she changed herself into a doe) and jumped out between them.

After Aeneas was injured by Diomedes in the Trojan War, Artemis and her mother Leto picks him up and tends to his wound. During the legendary Trojan War, Artemis gave her support to Troy. In one famous Artemis myth Aktaion, a male hunter, stumbled upon the goddess bathing in the woods. Artemis punished Agamemnon after he killed a sacred stag in a sacred grove and boasted that he was a better hunter than the goddess. Niobe was a very proud and powerful queen of Thebes. However, in some surviving versions, Aktaeon is a stranger who happens upon her. Various myths have been told around what happened after Artemis took her.
When she bore twin sons, she ate one of them while the other one, Iakhos, was saved by Artemis. In a version by Aratus, Orion took hold of Artemis's robe and she killed him in self-defense. Callisto was the daughter of Lycaon, King of Arcadia and also was one of Artemis' hunting attendants.
